#602 Heffer and Colt

'Heffer' was gathered in off the summer range one fall with our cows.. She was a spindly wild mustang filly that had adopted one of the cows as  'mom'.. and so thought she was one of them!..  Had a hard time weaning her from the cow and convincing her she was a horse!  So..  my nephew named her  'Heffer'.  This pastel sketch is of Heffer and her first colt..
